Building Community.
Empowering Youth.

Empowering Black Youths Corporation, EMBYC was created from the need to build community and sense of belonging for Black children; a place where they are seen, supported, and free to be themselves.

Many of our children grow up navigating multiple worlds. Some are born to immigrant families, some to families rooted in the African American experience, and many somewhere in between. Too often, they are made to feel like they must choose or that they don't fully belong anywhere.

We believe something different. We believe Black identity is not a single story. It is rich, layered, global, and shared. No matter where our families come from or how our journeys began, our children deserve a community that affirms them, connects them, and helps them grow with confidence.y Support

A Community, Not a Category

At Empowering Black Youths, we are not here to divide or redefine what it means to be Black. We are here to bring our children together African American, African, Caribbean, and across the diaspora rooted in respect, unity, and shared purpose.

Our work is grounded in the belief that we are stronger together. When our children feel a sense of ownership in their identity and pride in their community, they are better equipped to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

What Drives Us

Our Mission

Our mission is to build a strong, supportive community for Black youths by fostering:

A sense of belonging

Safe spaces where Black children can show up as their full selves.

Community ownership

Encouraging pride, leadership, and responsibility within the community.

Mentorship

Connecting youths with Black professionals and leaders across diverse fields.

Access to knowledge

Creating a trusted space for learning, sharing resources, and collective growth.

Through mentorship, shared experiences, and open exchange of information, we help young people see what is possible not just in theory, but through real people who look like them and have walked similar paths.

Why It Matters

Belonging shapes confidence.

Confidence shapes opportunity.

And opportunity shapes the future.

When Black youths know they are supported by a community that values them regardless of background and they are empowered to lead, create, and contribute meaningfully to the world around them.

That is the future we are building at Empowering Black Youths.
